MISSION

The Orford Arts Centre plays host to a world-class Academy of Music, which offers advanced training to particularly gifted young musicians who are at the beginning of a professional career in classical music.

Together with internationally renowned professors and artists who are devoted to training the next generation, we are committed to providing our students with pedagogical activities that are as unique as they are enriching.

Complementing the activities of the Academy, the Arts Centre presents the Orford Summer Festival, a prestigious and internationally acclaimed series of musical presentations offered in a natural and architecturally beautiful environment.  In addition to hosting a major cultural and tourist event that is distinguished by the high quality of its performances, the Centre also supports and promotes the dissemination of other art forms, including the visual arts.  A well-established fixture on the Eastern Townships, the Orford Arts Centre’s multi-disciplinary endeavours make it an active participant in the social fabric and development of the region.
