Orford Academy is breaking new ground this year by inaugurating an entirely new jazz program. The course, under the direction of Ron Di Lauro, has been designed for pianists, keyboardists, guitarists, bassists, double bassists, and drummers as well as any other wind instrumentalists wanting to broaden their understanding of jazz. Participants must be from 16 to 30 years of age and of college or university caliber.*

They will have the opportunity of playing in a various combos over the two weeks under the guidance of several renowned teachers, who will work with each group in turn. Group composition will also change during the course, giving all participants opportunities to explore different approaches.
