This summer’s Viola Institute will include daily technique and master classes, private lessons, scale classes, and performance opportunities. Technique classes emphasize left and right hand skills development and master classes focus on repertoire. The week encompasses 14 hours of performance classes and 7 hours of technique classes.

Admission is limited to musicians between 14 and 24 years old*

*Exceptions made on a case by case basis.

A shuttle service from Montreal and Burlington airport to the Orford arts Centre is available for this workshop only.

Under the guidance of Yi-Fang Huang , the Collaborative Piano Program will offer training for pianists interested in developing strong collaborative skills, good musicianship and exploring in-depth the viola repertoire. During the one-week intense program, each participant will receive daily private lessons and sudio class, will work with 7-8 violists and will perform in 3 students recitals and 6 viola master classes. The repertoire will be assigned to each participant approximately 2-3 weeks in advance.
