A winner of the Geneva International Competition, Joel has served as the Principal Double Bassist of many ensembles including the Canadian Opera Company, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa and most recently the famous London Symphony Orchestra.
In 2010 Joel's latest solo recording "Garden Scene" won the Juno Award as the years Best Classical recording.
