Denis Bluteau
Denis Bluteau completed his studies in music at the Conservatoire de musique de Chicoutimi, under the direction of Mr. Jean Morin, as well as the Université de Montréal, under the direction of Mr. Robert Langevin where he obtained a Master of Music degree in performance (Flute) in 1988.
Denis Bluteau was successively a member of the National Ballet of Canada Orchestra, in Toronto, from 1990 to 1991 and a member of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra from 1991 to 1993. Since 1993, he is Associate Principal Flute with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. With the OSM he has been on many international tours in Europe, Asia, South America and Mexico.
Denis Bluteau has performed in solo with the Orchestre symphonique de Sherbrooke, as well as the Société philharmonique de Montréal. Denis Bluteau currently teaches flute at the Faculty of Music of the Université de Montréal, and the McGill Schulich School of Music. He also teaches in summer academies such as Domaine Forget and the Orford Arts Centre.
