Marianne Dugal
Marianne Dugal has been a member of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) for the past 10 years. She was recently named Second Associate Concertmaster (leader of the First Violins section of a symphony orchestra). A native of the Saguenay region, she studied violin and organ at the Chicoutimi and Montréal Conservatories of Music, and went on to win several competitions nationwide.
She completed her training under Sergiu Schwartz in Boca Raton, Florida, where she won First Prize in the National Society of Arts and Letters Violin Competition. She is very active as a chamber musician, and her concerts and recitals have been broadcast on both the English and French networks of the CBC.
