Ron Di Lauro
Ron Di Lauro is perhaps Montreal’s most active professional freelance trumpet player. He has performed on over 300 recordings for various Quebec artists including Celine Dion, Cirque du Soleil, Ginette Reno, Daniel Lavoie, David Usher, Ranee Lee, Vic Vogel, Oliver Jones and many others. He is also heard and featured on many television and movie soundtracks such as Mambo Italiano, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Bethune, Map of the Human Heart, Crazy Moon, Jack Paradise, Music Hall, among others as well as several radio and television jingle and mini-series soundtracks. He has performed with various artists abroad and at jazz festivals in Holland, France, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia, Finland and the United States.
As an educator, Ron teaches jazz trumpet and directs Jazz Orchestras at both McGill University and L’Université de Montréal. He is active as an adjudicator for many music festivals in Canada and the United States and has presided over various arts council juries at the provincial and federal level.
