THE TCHAÏKOVSKI EXPERIENCE

In addition to our diverse programming, the Orford Festival offers you the Tchaïkovski Experience! You’ll have the opportunity to listen to several of this great Russian composer’s compositions during the Festival, especially during the orchestra concerts where the 4^th, 5^th and 6^th Symphonies, his greatest masterpieces, will be interpreted.

AIRAT ICHMOURATOV Summer composer

Some of you may remember the incredible commotion created by Mr. Ichmouratov’s new composition during one of the Orford Camerata’s concerts in 2011. The audience was practically in a frenzy! Inspired by the great Russian tradition, his music—both thrilling and accessible—leaves no one indifferent! Airat is a young and prolific Quebec composer, and it’s a great pleasure for us to present him as this summer’s composer.
