Sponsor a student
Dear friends of the Orford Arts Centre,
In 2011, 419 young exceptional musicians, received training dispensed by the grand masters of our Academy, 310 of them thanks to our scholarships funds. Many among you had the opportunity to come and listen to these students in performance.
In spite of your generosity, the number and importance of these scholarships are still insufficient to the basic needs of our students. Our goal is to increase the scholarships in order to permit all these talented musicians the chance to study in Orford in order to complete their training whatever their financial situation.
Your donation goes a long way in the lives of these young musicians. By giving them the possibility to benefit from high calibre teaching at the Orford Arts Centre, you become one of their believers and extend to them the financial means to develop their talent.
Thank you for supporting our youth’s talent. You will be amazed by their accomplishments.

Vice President Executive Private Funding

« To offer a scholarship to one of the OAC’s students is the first step in furthering the recipient’s talent, then permits the student to take an additional step towards excellence; but offering a scholarship is mostly a great pleasure for the donor »
Micheline Hardy, sponsor since 2007
« During my time in Orford, I had the great pleasure of meeting Micheline, the person who had financed part of my scholarship fund. Her passion and curiosity for singing and the art of voice teaching are what struck me most in her. She was present at both my concerts, one in Knowlton, the other at the Centre, and she also took in one of my lessons and several of my master classes. Prior to my leaving Orford, she invited me to write to her and keep her informed of my upcoming performances, telling me that if at all possible she would come to Montréal to be there. For a young musician, such an understanding is very encouraging and gives one the drive to follow the dream. I want to thank everyone who gave in to their wish to sponsor a student! »
