Jean Landry has been the Technical Director at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal for the past 20 years. In this role, he is in charge of technical and computer support as well as the purchase, maintenance and selection of all technical equipment. He also teaches Studio Recording Techniques and Sound Recording.
His experience in the world of sound goes back to the 1960’s. He began first as a sound engineer and then went on to the recording of live concerts both in studio and on stage, developing an expertise in recording acoustic instruments and extra sound engineering. He is also in charge of maintenance for the Ondes Martinot of North America and is currently working to update this collection of instruments.
